The director of the previous two films, Paul King, decided not to direct this installment
Story
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who is now residing at the Retired Bears Home. With the Brown family in tow, an exciting adventure begins when a mystery takes them on an unexpected journey. However, he pitched the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer.

Paddington in Peru is a pretty good film, though not one to be particularly noteworthy. It obviously doesn’t reach the heights of Paddington 2, but it’s probably on par with the first one. With a different director at the helm, this film also takes a different angle, as it moves the action from London and places it in the jungles of Peru.
It’s a fairly interesting story that flows fairly well and keeps a decent pace
This is probably a good choice, as it helps the film feel fresh and different from the other two. It also makes room for a slightly different kind of story, and this one seems perhaps more adventurous and exciting. The humor is a little lackluster, but it’s definitely aimed more at kids, so it reflects my age more than anything else.
It’s cute and delicate
I also think the emotional side is a little lacking. I remember Paddington 2 making me cry, but this one feels a little softer. In fact, I think this word sums up this movie.
