Story
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands in a high-profile job for which she is not suited, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.. The producers convinced both the American & British governments to let them use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the still-recent American embassy (at Nine Elms) that opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming inside the foreign secretary's office, a rarely bestowed honour for any film or screen production, especially an American one.

The one unavailable location was Winfield House, the American ambassador's actual residence. Although it's accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London aside from Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.. I binge watched The Night Agent, thought it couldn't get much better than that, I was wrong.
So cerebral and fascinating
I loved every second of this series. Everything you could wish for in a series. The characters and acting were first class.
Played it to perfection
It was so great to see the delicious Rufus Sewell again, and what a part he played, never knowing what he will get up to next. Keri Russell was just magnificent as the ambassador. I also loved David Gyasi.
The best political show since The West Wing
All in all a wonderful series, a little short maybe, but well worth watching. Excellent!
