Michael Schurt wrote "A Man On the Inside" after watching the Chilean documentary “The Mole Agent.” He says, "The Mole Agent" The documentary is powerful because it evokes something very similar in people of all ages, ethnicities, and genders, and I would describe that feeling very succinctly: “I need to call my mom.” We tried to do something similar with our show’s tone: Basically, does our show contribute to that feeling of calling our moms?
It’s a remake of El agente topo (2020)
I think a lot of fiction is, of course, meant to make you think, “It was an honor to be part of these fictional characters’ lives.” This show undeniably hits that mark well.

Even those who come for the mystery, who are less focused on it, should be captivated by the humanity that is evident not only in the writing but also in the performances of all the characters.
