The sequel to the story of settling in the American West. It follows the further adventures of the characters who first appeared in Horizon: An American Legend. However, after the commercial failure of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 (2024), New Line Cinema removed its sequel from its original release date, delaying it indefinitely. Chapter 2 premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 7, 2024.

I’m writing this review on behalf of some of us small-town folks currently living in the San Pedro Valley of Southern Arizona. We love this series so far! I think a lot of the negative reviews about this series are coming from city people who probably don’t know anything about what it’s really like to live in the American Southwest. The rugged beauty of the Sonoran Desert is truly a sight to behold.
It’s about history and reality
We are proud to live in one of the most historically significant parts of the Big 48. Costner’s series is trying to remind Americans where we came from, because now more than ever in our history, it’s not about glamour and extreme entertainment. I know most of you find both boring, but maybe you could try looking at it from a different perspective. Don’t watch these movies like most others.
We have a famous western movie nearby
Take off your Hollywood glasses, bring your mind back to the real world, stop expecting extreme entertainment in everything, and watch this story like a true American. If you don’t, you’re really missing out. P. S.
