As a result, the film performed poorly at the box office and was pulled from most theaters by the end of its third week or release
Story
Through the eyes of a strong-willed woman comes the remarkable story of Irena Gut, and the triumphs of the human spirit over devastating tragedy, as she risked her life to save a generation of Jews from the atrocities of the Holocaust. Although this Canadian film had a much wider theatrical release in Canada than the typical Canadian film, for some reason its distributor, Elevation Pictures, chose not to give the film a substantial marketing budget.

I was immediately drawn to this film and was captivated by it until the end credits rolled
I will never understand the intense hatred and extreme obsession of any person to hurt another based solely on their race. Thankfully, on the opposite side of this evil, we are also inspired by decent people who have shown heroic acts of courage, morality and good conscience to protect victims in these horrific circumstances.
Sophie Nelisse and the entire cast deliver phenomenal performances
This film is full of drama and suspense and I cannot recommend it highly enough!
