It tells the story of three very different families vying to buy the exact same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both starred in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I always get a little nervous when such big names are in a Netflix limited series. But it felt like this cast really delivered and hit all the marks. Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow have a certain chemistry that was a perfect fit for this story. I’m always happy to see Linda Cardellini in a role like this too. Great pacing, appropriate tension, lots of comic interludes. For once, I wasn’t expecting the surprise ending and every plot thread seemed to be resolved in the last episode. I really enjoyed it! Highly recommended if you’re looking for something to cleanse your palate in this new, fast-paced streaming world. One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of this month’s biggest TV and streaming premieres. For more information, see our December calendar!
